Alertness Monitoring
Summary
FRT is being used for alertness monitoring and to assess cognitive functioning to determine if employees are paying attention, distracted, or drowsy, . It can be used to monitor drivers' alertness to help prevent road accidents, to monitor the alertness and focus of machine operators during long hours of work or, to look for signs of worker fatigue or drowsiness in hazardous work environments. This information can then be used to improve alertness and safety, such as scheduling breaks or naps, adjusting work hours, or providing training on fatigue management.
